The Rod Fathers

Greetings to who ever is looking at our page.

We are ‘The Rod Fathers’, aka Carl Jones and Tony Coupe, Quality, Health & Safety Field Managers working for Dyno-Rod – the UK’s most established emergency drainage and plumbing company. We now have a NEW member to the team who will be sharing the driving and driving our Back Up vehicle it is David Coupe the Director of Transport Training Academy (thank god for the Self-Employed).

We are very excited to be entering the Barmy to Barcelona rally in an 850cc Robin Reliant. The car is in the process of being painted to look like a mini Dyno-Rod van – Click the camera below to open up all the great pictures.

We will be supporting two charities, and any money raised will be split evenly between them. The first is ‘Help for Heroes’ – formed to help those who have been wounded in the current conflicts. Carl has a brother who served in the army for 6 years and Tony used to be in the Royal Navy (and served for 23 years), so it’s a cause close to both our hearts.

The second charity is 'National Plughole Week 2010'. Working together with Oxfam, National Plughole Week (3rd - 10th July 2010) will be alerting consumers to the benefits of our modern sanitation compared to developing countries, where one-in-eight of the world’s population do not have access to safe water and two million people die every year from water-related diseases.

We hope to raise £30,000 so we’ll need your help! If you would like to help us raise money for these two very worthwhile charities then please click the link on the right "OUR CHARITY" or use this link below.

Keep an eye on the leader board as although we have a small engine we have big ambitions! We’ll upload photos as we go along so please do log on when you get a chance.

Carl, David and Tony.
